Born May 4, 1933 in Canton, Ohio, James was a son of the late Robert and Lola Mae (Nagel) Sipe. He worked as a signal foreman for Port Authority Trans Hudson for 30 years until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, puzzles, trains, playing pinochle and jazz music. James will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Mr. Sipe served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, Carol; Mr. Sipe is survived by two sons, Robert Sipe and his partner, Mark of Maine, and Richard Sipe of York; five grandchildren, Timothy Walters, Ricky Lacko, Leroy Lacko, Jordan Sipe, and Alexis Sipe; and two brothers, George Sipe and his wife, Nancy of Dover and Donald Sipe and is wife, Pat of Dover. Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Watson; and two brothers, Robert Sipe and Theodore Sipe.
