He is survived by his wife, Carleen Plymale Buford; step mother, Mrs. Grace Buford, Roanoke; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marian and Hardney Gibson, Roanoke, Katherine and Bud Lippold, Jacksonville, Fla.
Mr. Buford was a charter member of Northview United Methodist Church, he was a Veteran of World War II and a member of The American Legion, Post #3.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 1997 at Sherwood Memorial Park with Dr. Louis Strickler officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
