Death in Dovre.
Last. Friday forenoon occurred the
death of Mrs. Christine Carlson, the
wife of Andrew Carlson, at her home
in town of Dovre.
Tne funeral took place Monday af
ternoon. Brief services were con
ducted at the house by Rev. Halvor
son, of Norway Lake after which the
funeral sermon was preached at the
Swedish Lutheran church at New Lon
don, Rev. Peterson of this city officiat
ing, interment was made in the ad
joining cemetery.
Mrs. Christina Carlson was born in
Haljuoga, Sweden, in 1837 and she
was thus at the time of death about 68
years ot age. She came to thid coun
try in '64 and three years later mar
ried Andrew Carlson. She lived near
Carver until in '68 when igether witb
her husband she reocoved to town of
Dovre, where she resided to her death.
She leaves to mourn her death hei
husband, five sonsr H. A J. A. and
Carlson, of Wheaton, Aaron,
of New London and J. E., who is at
present staying on the farm in Dovre,
and three daughters Mrs. Ida Chris
tenson, of Minneapolis aod Mesdame*
J. J. and W. H. Little, ef West Su
perior, Wis. With the exception of
the last two, all the children were
pre ent at the funeral.
