Billie LaJune (Godfrey) Wilson grew up in Frederick, Oklahoma and graduated from Frederick High School on 22 May 1947. She worked for the Frederick Leader Newspaper for many years before being employed by the Selective Service as a Draft Registrar. In ????, she went to work for the Social Security Administration.

She married James Horace "Jim" Fondren on 28 August 1947 and they had two daughters, Peggy Anne and Donna Lynn. Jim died on 29 October 1975. Billie remarried on 13 January 1977 to Milton Lloyd Wilson. They retired at Durango, La Plata County, Colorado in September 1981, where they built a home and lived until the death of Lloyd in April 2015. She then moved to Hayden, Routt County, Colorado on 03 May 2015 to be close to her younger daughter.

Billie enjoyed painting, cooking, and enjoyed the Colorado mountains scenery in the area they lived. She was very outgoing and made friends with everyone she met.

She died on 27 September 2019 at the Casey's Pond Senior Living Community in Steamboat Springs, Routt County, Colorado.

The youngest daughter took possession of her cremains.
