Wallace Hoke Jackson, 91, of Paragould, made his journey to Heaven on Monday, April 3, 2017. He was born September 29, 1925 in Finley, Tennessee. He married the love of his life, Laura Walker, on September 4, 1948. Together they were the owners of the Family Shoe Store in downtown Paragould for 54 years. During this time, Mr. Jackson was active in the Paragould Kiwanis Club, Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce, and American Legion. He had a passion for youth baseball. He spent many years involved with Paragould Youth Baseball and served as President of PYB for several years. Mr. Jackson was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he attended the Men's Bible Class. He was also a member of the Greene County Methodist Men and the AMMC Auxillary Board. Prior to all of this, Mr. Jackson served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was the son of the late William and Elma Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Galloway.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 68 years, Laura; sons, Jim (Guyla) Jackson and Davey Joe (Rena) Jackson of Paragould and Stan (Teresa) Jackson of Stephens City, Virginia; grandchildren, Amy (Drew) Jackson, Audri (Heath) Kocsis, Morgan (Kelly) Jackson, Emily Kate (Sam) Jackson, Stephen Jackson, Kyle (Kristin) Jackson, Lincoln (Patricia) Jackson, and Lané Jackson; great grandchildren, Kallie, Parker, and Mae; and sister, Faye Jordan of Dallas, Texas.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 9-10 am at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 10 with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Burial is in Linwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are his grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearer is Tom Watson.
