Lynette Anna (Hosley)
Lynette Anna (Hosley) James, 93, of North Baltimore, Ohio (formerly Arcadia) passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Birchaven in Findlay where she had lived since July. She was born April 23, 1923 near Curtice, Ohio to John and Matilda (Anderson) Hosley. She graduated from Oregon Clay High School in 1941.
On February 18, 1950 she married Edward James. She helped him on the farm in a variety of ways. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1994. Her brothers Raymond and Norman Hosley also preceded her in death.
Her ultimate fighting spirit of independence will be mourned by her children, Lucile Balmer, Lima, Susan (Terry) Short of Wauseon, Edward (Linda) James, Arcadia, Sally (Tim) Ritter, Carey, Jim (Amy Tracy), North Baltimore and her nine grandchildren; Dustin (April), Joshua (Lindsay) and Darcy Ritter, Corryn and Evan Short, Michael (Megan) and Beth James, Jared and Alex James and eight great-grandchildren. Lynette worked for 30 years at Blanchard Valley Hospital as an LPN on the night shift. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia, Ohio. She was known as an outstanding cook who could feed a crowd with little notice and baked amazing chocolate chip cookies. Following her retirement, she became an avid quilter. She not only pieced and quilted many quilts for members of her family, but also donated her quilts to her church for auctions and quilted for others. In addition to this she supported the work of Lutheran World Relief by sewing pieced comforter tops which have been sent all over the world. Her work on this project continued until she moved to Birchaven.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 4, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at
Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Services will be held Wednesday
April 5, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Arcadia Ohio. Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.
