Funeral Services for Richard D. Johns, 59, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Tom Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Johns was born August 30, 1957 in Shreveport, LA and passed away April 2, 2017 in Monroe, LA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, country music and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Johns.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Johns; five daughters, Jessica Smith and husband Josh, Kelli Johns, Nicole Wilkerson and husband Michael, Brandi Duncan and husband Chris, and Anna Johns; mother, Laverne Johns; grandchildren, Riley Johns, Adyson Smith, Haven Lopez, Ethan Smith, Canaan Duncan, Ainsley Duncan, Madelyn Wilkerson and Gray Duncan; brothers, Donnie Johns and wife Denise, and Jamie Johns and wife Nicki; sister, Donna Kay Johns; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stone Johns, Cole Johns, Josh Johns, Chris Duncan, Michael Wilkerson, Josh Smith and Brandon McCoy.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Marty Jeffery, Ricky Wheelis, Jerome Baff, Mike Fields, Mike Simpson, Ricky Streetman, Buddy Stokes and Mike Gardner.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

An account will be set up at Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union so that donations may be made to help the family make sure that Mr. Johns’ youngest daughter, Anna will be able to finish college as he wished.
