CISCO -- Audy Moore, 86, of Cisco passed away on June 20, 2004 in Eastland Memorial Hospital.

He was a long-time Church of Christ Minister.
He was born on July 25, 1917 to W.P. and Etter Moore; he was raised in the Cook Community near Rising Star.
He graduated from Pioneer High School.
He married Georgie Mae Hunt on December 23, 1939.
After farming for a number of years, he attended Abilene Christian College before embarking on a career as a preacher. he served as pulpit minister for Texas Churches of Christ in Okra, Goldsmith, Claude, Sprayberry, Austin, Big Springs, Gorman, Kerns, Cross Plains, Eastland and Flatwood. He did missionary work in Mankato, Minnesota and was the main speaker at church meetings at various congregations in Texas, Arizona and Wyoming. Also, he was the speaker for a number of radio ministries.

Audy was well known and beloved by many people across the West Texas area and he touched many lives by his preaching of the Word and by his many visits to shut-ins, nursing homes and hospitals. With his beloved wife, Georgie at his side he endeavored for 60 years to serve his Lord and to spread the gospel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Atina, Alta, Aimelee, Alvey, Arley, Billy and Bobby. He is survived by his wife, Georgie of Cisco; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Theo Scott of Holland; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Helen of Crandall; four grandchildren; David Burton and his wife, Samantha of Lubbock; Cynthia Kates and her husband Leon of Holland; Jenni Langston and her husband, Rick of Brighton, TN and Mary-Nancy Moore of Monroe Louisiana. And three great grandchildren; Alsyssa and Amberley Burton and Percaya Langston. He is survived by two sisters; Murl Rodgers of Clyde and Anna Rae Hund and her husband Elbert of Texarkana, Arkansas. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. .

Pallbearers are Johnny Cook, Ronald Hunt, Gary Hunt, Douglas Walker, Alan Masters and Barry Selman.Gospel preacher listed in Preachers of Today, Vol. 2, 1959 and Preachers of Today, Vol. 5.
