Hubert D. "Red" Robinson, a resident of Sulphur was born June 4, 1937 in Snyder, Oklahoma to Ezekiel & Essie (Hargrove) Robinson. He passed away Sunday April 2, 2017 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 79 years 9 months and 28 days.

Red attended schools in Snyder, Mountain View and Chickasha, OK. He joined the U S Air Force in May 1955. He became a cook and worked in many aircraft warning units, flight line kitchens and dining halls. He had many assignments outside the United States, including Japan, Viet Nam, Libya and Turkey.

After 20 years in the military, Red retired in Wichita, Kansas, where he worked for Furrs Cafeteria and Bonanza Steakhouse for 7 years. In 1984, Red started working for a security company. After 18 years he retired and moved to Sulphur.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Joe Don Robinson.

Survived by his children: Hubert D. Robinson, Jr. of Tulsa, OK Leslie Dawn McElroy of Norfolk, VA, Robby Ray Robinson of Wichita, KS, 10 Grandchildren, beloved Sister: Bobbie J. Hedger of Warren, AR, Sister-in-law: Fay Robinson of Cheyenne, OK, 4 nieces 3 nephews, His best friend for 64 years: Bettie Cable and her family.

Services will be held Thursday April 6, 2017 at 10:00AM at DeArman's Funeral Chapel in Sulphur, officiated by Jimmy Linville. Graveside services will be Thursday April 6 at 2:30PM at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha.
