Mark Fischer, of Williamsport, passed away at home, on Saturday, April 1, 2017.

Mark was a son of the late Raymond J. Sr. and the late Ruth F. Desaulniers Fischer.

He was a 1969 graduate of Williamsport High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Mark was a partner in Janson & Fischer Contractors.

He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and sang in the Boys Choir and then in the Men’s Choir. He was a longtime member and former board member of the Gesang Verein Harmonia. He was also a member of the Harmonia chorus. Mark enjoyed playing his guitar, hunting and fishing and was a member of a number of shuffle board and dart leagues.

Surviving are eight siblings and their families, Patricia A. Woodring, of Williamsport, a twin brother, David (Barbara) Fischer, of Camp Hill, Thomas E. (Karen) Fischer, Raymond J. (Linda) Fischer Jr., Stephen D. (Carmen) Fischer, Marie B. Bausinger, Jerry F. (Vicki) Fischer, Ruth A. Fischer, all of Williamsport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., with his pastor, Msgr. Stephen D. McGough officiating.

Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville, with full military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.
