Jessie Mary Pindell, daughter of John and Adaline Kelly Allman, was born on November 24, 1888, and departed this earthly life at the MeadowWood Nursing Home on July 16, 1982 at the age of 93 years, 7 months and 22 days, the last of a family of eight children.
Baptized in infancy, she renewed that vow in confirmation on Palm Sunday, April 5, 1903, at Peace Lutheran Church, Arnheim, under the pastorate of Rev. Adam Braun. She remained faithful to that vow until God called her home.
On April 16, 1930, she was united in marriage to Cass T. Pindell, with Rev. William F. Frey officiating. They enjoyed 22 years of happiness until he died June 10, 1952.
May 1, 1970, she came to make her home with her stepson William and his family. Following hip surgery in February 1974, she spent the rest of her life gently-cared-for patient in MeadowWood Nursing Home.
Left to mourn her passing are her stepson William and his wife, Lela; four granddaughters, Marilyn Wasson, Hallie Benjamine, Willa Cooper and Kay Bundy, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
