Agnes "Aggie" Dorothy Braunburger, 87, of La Marque, TX, passed away Thursday, March 30. 2017 at the Bay Area Medical Center in Webster, TX.
Aggie was born in McClusky North Dakota on August 20, 1929 to Fred and Clara Braunburger.
Aggie married Dwain Detmers on May 3, 1948 in Moorhead, MN.
She was a military wife and followed Dwain across the United States, finally settling in North Dakota. After they retired in 2006 they moved to LaMarque, Texas to be near their daughter, Rosalie "Sissy" Sabell.
She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Dwain Detmers and an Infant son.
Aggie is survived by children, Leroy (Karen) Detmers of Grand Junction, CO and Rosalie "Sissy" Sabell of La Marque, TX; grandchildren, Kimberly (Justin) Platta, Robert (Mayra) Sabell, Janie (Robert) Wilkins and Jason (Keo) Detmers; eight great- grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
The family will greet guests at 10am, Wednesday, April 8, 2017 followed by 11am Memorial Services at Carnes Funeral Home - Texas City, 3100 Gulf Freeway, TX 77591.
