Junior attended Hurley Community Baptist Church. He worked at the Juvenile Shoe Factory as well as Viles Oil Company. He owned and operated a trucking company, and he and his wife, Jeannie, owned Jean's Dolls in downtown Aurora. Many knew him as a regular at Jim Carr's in Aurora.
Survivors include his son, Jeff Anderson, and wife, Andy, of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Janet Wartnaby, and husband, James, of Joplin, Missouri; brother, Tom Anderson, and wife, Peggy, of Crane, Missouri; two sisters: Sue Tichenor and husband, Wade, and Doris Harmon, both of Crane, Missouri; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeannie; step-son, Steven Williams, and a grandson, Jared Hill.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7 at 10 a.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery.
