Mrs. Geneva L. Long, age 93, of Nakina, NC, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, Whiteville, NC. Born May 19, 1923 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late James Ransom and Lettie Long and the widow of Henry Joe Long.
She is survived by two sons: Bobby Joe Long and Guy Long, both of Nakina; one sister: Hallie Jacobs of Tabor City; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son: Tony Long.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery, Mooney Ford Rd., Nakina.
