Russell Sherman McDonald, 77, of Houston, Texas, passed into his heavenly home on March 27, 2017. Russell was born February 24, 1940 in Pitkin, Louisiana to parents, Jeff and Janice (Braddy) McDonald.

He retired in 2003 from Texas Petrochemical after 34 years of employment. He served the country in the U.S. Army and he was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Jacinto City.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wives, Margie Dell Hess McDonald and Charlene Lucas McDonald.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Margaret McDonald; by daughters, Julie King and Katrina Flores; by step-children, James Richardson, Roger Pittman and Linda Pitt; by brother, Harold Clayton McDonald and sister, Sandra Whitlock; by five grandchildren, Paula, Rhonda, Russell, Sarah, and Maddy, and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Carter Conley Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. with services to celebrate his life on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 10:00 a/m. at Carter Conley Funeral Home.
