OBITUARY OF LINDA F. MAXWELL

Linda F. MAXWELL, 71, of Perryton, Texas died Sunday, April 02, 2017 in Perryton. Services will be held Thursday, April 06, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Community Worship Center with Dixie Hargues officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery, and arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton, Texas.

Linda was born on January 17, 1946 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Allie R. WOOD and Lorene Jackson WOOD. She lived on a farm north of Butler, Oklahoma until moving to Perryton, Texas in January of 1957. She went to school in Perryton, where she met and married Gary William MAXWELL on July 15th, 1962, and they had two children, Robert Warren MAXWELL, who married Barbara LUTHI and Katherine Ranae, who married Jose CANTU. Linda went to work at age 13 at the Dixie Dog and she worked for Jim Husky and then Elton Symons, and in April of 1969, she and her husband bought the Dixie Dog. She worked there until she retired in 2012, for a total of 53 years. She loved her family and all her grandchildren.

Mrs. MAXWELL is survived by her two children; one brother, Arnold WOOD and wife Judy; one sister, Donna WOOD; four grandchildren, Meagan ROGERS, Whitney PICKETT, Nathan William MAXWELL and wife Kayla, and Warren Austin MAXWELL and wife Jordan; six great-grandchildren, Tanner Nathaniel TAYLOR, Kyleigh Ranae PICKETT, Noah Alexander PICKETT, Carder Scott MAXWELL, Paityn Marie MAXWELL, and Blaine Austin MAXWELL; three aunts; three uncles, and numerous cousins.

Mrs. MAXWELL was preceded in death by her husband, Gary William MAXWELL; and her parents.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell, Amarillo, Texas, 79109; or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6222 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, Texas, 79109.
