Bryan E. "Pops" Montgomery, 62, a life-long resident of the Sikeston area, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his home near Bell City.
He was born Nov. 19, 1953 in Sikeston to Bertha Joanna (Skaggs) Farley who survives of Sikeston and the late Wendell Farley.
He was a supervisor at Alan Wire where he had been employed for nearly 30 years; he had coached for many years in the Sikeston Little League program and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
On Oct. 5, 2013 he was married to Jacqueline "Jackie" Schreckengast at Bloomfield and she survives of the home.
In addition to his wife & mother, he is also survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Bryan J. and Whitney Montgomery; two daughters and one son-in-law, Abby & Joey Seiler and Wendy Montgomery; two step-sons, Justin Martin and Joshua Hickman and one step-daughter, Ashley Martin. One sister, Joanna Susie (Bill) Presswood and five grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church from 5 until 8 pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday , also at the church at 10:30 am with Rev. Austin Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Long, Charlie Mulcahy, Russell Willeford, Rik LaPlant, Phil Puckett and Steve Ferrell; Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Irwin and Barry McDowell.
