Mayda Jane Riggs, 90, passed away peacefully March 24, 2017 in Medford, Oregon.
She was born February 2, 1927 in Washington, D.C. and as a teen moved to Arcadia, Azusa, and Monrovia, California with her mother, Mayda Carnahan Linder.
She graduated from Monrovia High and attended Pasadena City College followed by nursing school.
She married Ralph Riggs in 1948 and enjoyed 69 years of marriage. They later moved to Newport Beach where they lived for five years. After her husband, Ralph retired from Sears, they moved to Ashland, Ore. and established the Mail Stop, a private mailbox facility.
Mayda is survived by her four children, Bryant Riggs and spouse, Kathleen; Kimberly Murray and spouse, John; Randolph Riggs and spouse, Janet; and Mayda and spouse, Frank; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A private inurnment with family will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Ashland at a later date.
