Margaret Overton was an accomplished educator, artist and musician. She taught for over 30 years, from kindergarten to the university level. She was also involved in numerous charities.

She was one of three children born to the late Leston and Mabel Overton. Her aunt, Ruth Jones, and her nephew, D.J. Overton, also preceded her in death.

Maggie had an exuberance for life and was passionate about---everything! Her beautiful smile said it all. She also took a keen interest in her family's rich genealogy---which is how I met her, my third cousin.

Margaret had a strong faith in God and love for her family. She was called to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Left with many precious memories are her brother and his wife, her sister and her husband, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends, in addition to her rescued cats, whom she loved so much.

She was a very loving, caring, giving person who will be missed dearly by all whose lives she has touched.

(From Rich Dohm 26 Aug 2019: Margaret's grave, as yet unmarked, is immediately to the left of the gravestone of Thomas Lacy Wilmouth 1957-1995.)
