Stephanie Lynn Russell-Taylor, 28, of Gladstone, Ill., died at 5:20 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Born Jan. 4, 1973, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Robert Leon and Connie Marie Borg Russell. On Sept. 12, 1998, she married Timothy James Taylor in Kirkwood, Ill.

Mrs. Russell-Taylor was a homemaker.

She attended Gladstone schools and was a 1991 graduate of Union High School. She attended Southeastern Community College in West Burlington for two years to obtain a secretarial certification. She enjoyed bowling at Country Fun and was in the Henderson County Ladies' Bowling League. She loved to do counted cross stitch, play cards and bingo, and care for her pets and animals.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Kirkwood; three sisters, Lea Ellen Borg of Kirkwood, Kathy Hopkins of Oquawka, Ill., and Ann Russell of Burlington; three brothers, Michael Russell of Kirkwood, John Russell of Gladstone and David Russell of Biggsville, Ill.; her in-laws of Kirkwood; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, two uncles and one cousin.

Visitation will be from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka.

The funeral for Mrs. Russell-Taylor will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kirkwood United Methodist Church, with the Rev. William S. Renner officiating. Burial will be in Biggsville Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for Des Moines County Animal Shelter and Henderson County Heart Fund.
