Clayton D. Stokes, 92, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Private services will be held at a later date. Clayton was born January 20, 1923 in Hillsboro to Albert and Stella (Nipp) Stokes.
During World War II, he served his country with the United States Navy. He was a mechanic in the paint and body shop business. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Dorris (Cunningham) Stokes on November 25, 1972; and son-in-law, George Andrews on April 11, 2002. Survivors include his children, Clayton G. Stokes of Burleson, Kay Hall and husband, Paul, of Brazos Point, and Angel Andrews of Hillsboro; and one granddaughter, Arianna Andrews of Hillsboro.
