Theresa (Teddy) Ruiz Seaton passed away March 30, 2017 at the Providence Benedictine Nursing Center in Mt. Angel. Teddy was born October 11, 1927 to Moises and Bartola Aguilar in Tangent, Oregon. She grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School in 1946. She married Norris Seaton in 1952 and moved to Woodburn in 1957. She worked for Birds Eye cannery. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and Ladies of the Elks. She enjoyed embroidery, knitting and travel.
Teddy was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Norris and sister Carolina Puente. She is survived by daughters: Loa Hammer (Lane), Nola Kenney (Bill), Teri Seaton (Greg Stevens), Joi Finegan (Michael), sisters Lucia Weigel, Anita Franco, Mimi Valdez, and Lupe Patron, grandsons Archie Hammer, Thomas Kenney, Patrick Finegan, granddaughter Ami Rogers, and five great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 6, 2017 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 417 Harrison Street Woodburn, OR 97071, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Luke Catholic Cemetery.
