She married H. C. Balthrop, Jr. in 1942 and had a 50-year career as a teller and head teller with the same bank in southern Dallas county, though it moved and changed names a few times.
Lorene was a faithful Christian, she was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her husband, and second son, Larry.
She leaves cherished memories with her children, Jeff Balthrop and wife Sharon, Judy Thomas, and husband Steve,; grandchildren, Rachel Mendoza and husband Fernando, Josh Balthrop and wife Allison, Sarah Balthrop, Laura Thomas, and Chris Thomas, great grandchildren Chloe, George, Aurora, Moriah, Sofia, Sherrod, Aila, and Nathan, and a host of beloved friends and co-workers.
