Kathy Wells, 59 of Hitchins went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 after a sudden illness. Kathy was born February 11, 1958 in Hitchins, a daughter of the late Charles Lee and Reva Jay Berry Sparks. Kathy worked as a manager of McDonald’s in Grayson since 1984 till retirement. Kathy had great compassion for other children raising at least 21 at her own expense. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie C. Wells in 2010 and two brothers, Billy and Eugene Sparks. Her survivors include; one son, Ronnie (Cindy) M. Wells; one daughter, Rhonda (Jimmy Cains) Griffith; three sisters, Mary (Bazil) Gollihue, Linda (Roger Horton) Lucas and Barbara (William) Sue Bailey; three brothers, Charles (Vickie) Sparks, Sammy Sparks and Adam (Susie) Sparks; six grandchildren, Aaron (Kayla) Wages, Rodney Griffith, Rodney (Marissa Roberts) Blake Wells, Brittney (Jacob) Griffith, Braden Wells and Cade Cains; four great-grandchildren, Rayland Wages, Erin Wages, Preston Wells, Dawson Wells and Aubrey Griffith.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Delmar Rogers and Tommy Harris, ministers. Burial will be in the Berry Family Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Wages, Rodney Griffith, Blake Wells, Jeffery Johnson, Garrett Pennington and Caden Sparks.
