Funeral services for James Ross Gee, 77, of Longview, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, Texas with Bro. Wayne McKay and Billy Traylor officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Texas.

Mr. Gee passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 in Longview and was born on January 6, 1940 in Gilmer, Texas to James Malone Gee and Lizzie Thompson Gee. He was a member of Kiwanis, Gilmer School Board and was an ordained Baptist Minister.

Mr. Gee is survived by his sons, James Marcus of Paris, James Patrick and wife, Heather of Longview, Gregory Ross and wife, Emily of Sulphur Springs; thirteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lizzie Gee; wife, Pat Gee, who passed away in 2000; brother, Malone Gee; sisters, Louise Walker, Nell Alexander and Margie Wood and one grandchild, who passed away in 2000.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Janet Davis for her commitment to their loved one's care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of James Ross Gee, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
