A long time resident of Riverside, California passed away and joined her loving husband Robin Arthur Patton (Bob) and her daughter Robyn Lee Patton Wright in heaven. She passed away March 15, 2017 due to congestive heart failure and lung cancer. Eva Jane, known as Janie or Jane to her family and friends, was born in Los Angeles, California on January 15, 1933. Jane lived her childhood years in small towns in Arkansas and Texas where she was an only child. Her father Lee R. Wood died of cancer when she was three years old and she was raised by her step father Owen (Pop) Fields and mother Ruby. The family moved to Vista, California where she graduated high school and met her husband Robin Arthur Patton. The family moved to Riverside, California in 1957. They had three children, David Arthur, Robyn Lee, Gary Keith. Jane managed the Cafeteria at Adams Elementary School and was much loved by the students and staff. Jane was an active member in the Faith Community Church in Riverside where she spent most Wednesday evenings and Sundays with her friends brunching and volunteering for community service projects. In her free time Jane was an active bowler, she loved to travel, enjoyed playing cards and board games, going to casinos, camping, crocheting, and completing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and spending time with family and friends.
Jane is survived by her sons David and Gary; daughters-in- law Cheryl and Rose; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, daughter Robyn, and grandson Christopher. Her family would like to thank Hospice care for their loving care and diligence.
Services are being handled by Acheson and Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary. Graveside service is March 31st at Riverside National Cemetery.
