Joel Dean Shively, 82, New Albany, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at New Albany Nursing and Rehabilitation in New Albany.
Born Sept. 27, 1934, in Alock, Ky., he was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian Smith Shively.
He was an Army veteran and a former truck driver.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jean Haub.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Pam Pitman (Eddie), a stepson, Steven Carroll (Linda); two step-grandsons, Ryan N. Carroll and Charles E. Pitman; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements: Love Funeral Home in Palmyra. Cremation was chosen with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
