Mr. Hamilton was born January 11, 1945, in Hazen to Bennie and Margaret Shipley Hamilton. He was a minister and member of Seventh Day Holiness.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Buffkin; two brothers, Leonard Hamilton and Robert Hart; and one great-grandchild, Katylyn Hamilton-Donahue.
Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Linda Honea Hamilton; two sons, James Edward Hamilton and Gerald Wayne Hamilton (Karrie), both of Humphrey; daughter, Sandra Maddox (Greg) of White Hall; three brothers, B.L. Hamilton (Mavis) of Pace, Miss., Raymond Hamilton of Cleveland, Miss., and Billy Ray Hamilton (Adell) of Farmville, Texas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services, officiated by Bro. Dan Hayes Jr., are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Union Cemetery in Pine Bluff.
