Mrs. Joanne M. Joyce Baldwin, 56, of Sweet Hill Road, Dolgeville, died Friday morning at the Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany. Born on March 5, 1947 in Florida, she was the daughter of John and Anna Downes Loadwick Sr. She was a 1965 graduate of Fort Plain Central School. She later attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College. Mrs. Baldwin resided in Fort Plain for most of her life. She was the owner and operator of Joanne's Hair Care in Fort Plain. She was employed at one time as a corrections officer for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and was also a house manager for Liberty Enterprises. Mrs. Baldwin was a member of St. James Church in Fort Plain. She enjoyed gardening, taking nature walks and flowers. She is survived by her husband, Eugene M. Baldwin of Dolgeville; two daughters, Alison R. Wallace and her husband, Jason of Fultonville and Jennifer A. Cechnicki and her husband, Patrick of Fort Plain; two brothers, John Loadwick Jr. and his wife, Gen of Dolgeville and Paul Loadwick and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Amsterdam Funeral Chapel, 13 Belmont Place, Amsterdam, with the Rev. Kenneth Swain officiating. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
