SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. - Betty (Bartholomew) Rooke, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30th 2017 at her home.
She was born on May 14th 1933 in Glens Falls, N.Y., the son of the late Ernest E. and Beatrice D. (Albert) Bartholomew.
Betty married Christopher J. Rooke Jr. on August 20th 1955 at the First Presbyterian Church in Glens Falls, New York. They were married 37 years until his passing in 1993.
She retired from Marshall Berlino Associates after many years of service.
Betty relocated to South Glens Falls, N.Y. in 2013.
Betty was a devoted member of the Christ Community Reformed Church in Clifton Park, N.Y. since 1965. She was the Institutional Memory of the church as well as a pillar of the church choir.
Besides her parents and husband, Betty is predeceased by one brother; Norman E. Bartholomew, who passed away in 1969.
Arrangements by the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home on 136 Main Street in South Glens Falls, N.Y.
Burial will follow immediately at the Pine View Cemetery on 21 Quaker Road in Queensbury, N.Y.
