Brenda Joyce Thompson McLeod, 70, of Del City, OK, passed peacefully from congestive heart failure on March 30, 2017, while surrounded by her four children at St. Anthony Hospital. She was born at Mercy Hospital on November 18, 1946, just blocks from the place of her death, to Conrad M. and L. Verlene Upton Thompson. She spent her childhood in the Oklahoma City metro area and Tishomingo, OK. She was a 1965 graduate of Southeast High School. She married Donald McLeod in 1967, but later divorced. Brenda worked in manufacturing at the OKC Dana Corporation plant for more than 20 years. Brenda was known for her kind heart and generous spirit. She loved roses, reading, watching NCIS, and her family.

She is survived by her four children: Kimberly McLeod, Tammy McLeod Hudson, Mike McLeod, Sr., and Kirk McLeod; and daughter-in-law Stacy Thompson McLeod, all of Oklahoma City. She has three grandchildren: Mike McLeod, Jr., Hunter Hudson, and Paige McLeod; and one great-grandchild, Ryder Hudson. She is also survived by her father Conrad M. Thompson, of Oklahoma City, OK; her brothers: Conrad Thompson, Jr., of Shawnee, OK, and Clark Colson of Madill, OK; her step-brothers George and Charles Newton of Oklahoma City; and ex-husband Donald McLeod, of Midwest City, OK. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members.

Brenda was proceeded in death by her mother Lorrace Verlene Upton Colson, her step-father Albert Colson, her step-mother Lorraine Newton Thompson, and step-brother Robert Newton.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on April 6, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, 73115.
