Inez Chesser Riley, 91, of Ridgely, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at The Bridge at Ridgely.

She was born on June 23, 1925 in Carroll County, TN, to the late L.B. Brown and the late Ada Burse Brown.

Inez was a homemaker and a member of Mooring Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Bledsoe officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jeanette Chesser Calhoun and husband, Donnie, of Benton, KY and Linda Chesser Stanfield and husband, Aubrey, of Ridgely; a son, James Chesser and wife, Violet, of Vincennes, IN; a sister, Virginia Hamilton of Apple Valley, CA; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Alfred Chesser and J.R. Riley; and two sisters, Betty Houston and Rachel Sampson.

Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Cook, Don Harris, Alvin Parker, Scotty Johnson, Jimmie Mann and Denny Johnson.
