Jesse James Howard Jr., 54, of Montgomery City, passed away at 1:25 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 6th at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.

Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers will be Jock Bryson, Jeremy Croteau, Daniel Hager, Dennis Howard, Ronnie Howard and Randy Huff. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Bryson, Dwayne Gutel and Jacob Huff.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5th at the funeral home.

Jesse was born October 25, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of Jesse James Howard Sr. and Barbara Faye McCauley Howard.

On October 15, 2005, in Montgomery City, Missouri, he married Margaret Rose Huff. She survives at the home.

Jesse had previously been employed for St. James Trucking for over 7 years as an over the road truck driver. He had also been an owner/operator of his own truck. Jesse had worked for Woody Bogler Trucking in Gerald, Missouri, United Van Lines in St. Louis and Warner Trucking.

He was one of the founding fathers of Bikers Against Child Abuse, St. Peter’s Chapter. Jesse was also a member of the American Legion Post in Warrenton and a former member of Task Force, a Veterans Club.

Jesse loved riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed working on his bike as well as cars. Jesse also loved his cat, “Buster.” His grandchildren were the light of his life.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Margaret Rose Howard, of Montgomery City; three step-children and spouses, Jeremy Paul Croteau, of Jackson, Michigan, April Lynn and Daniel Hager, of Wellsville and Randy Ray and Kirsten Huff, of Wellsville; grandchildren, Dani Lynn Hager, Kristi Lea Hager and Matti Rose Hager and Jacob Wayne Huff and Emily Jean Huff, all of Wellsville; father, Jesse James Howard Sr., of St. Louis; sister, Corrinia Lyn Johnson and husband, Paul, of Campbell; brothers, Dennis Keith “Denny” Howard and wife, Diane, of Jonesburg and Ronald Boyd “Ronnie” Howard, of Wellsville; in addition to nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Faye Howard; step-mother, Patricia Howard and his grandparents.
