Damon A. Banks, 28, a resident of St. Joseph's ICF-MR, Swoyersville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in York, PA, on Sept. 10, 1977, he was a son of Elena Gross and Roger Banks, both of York.

He moved to Swoyersville at the age of 9.

He attended Pittston Area School, St. Joesph's Oblates, Pittston, and was a client of Creating Unlimited Possibilities, Wilkes-Barre, formerly the United Cerebral Palsy.

Damon loved trains, trips to Steamtown, Dairy Queen for strawberry sundaes, pizza and rides in the country.

Damon was a young man whose life affected many people.

He will be missed more than words can say.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher, who passed away in 1971. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Jennifer Banks, York; Danielle Banks, San Antonio, TX; niece Arianna; nephew Maverick; and the staff of St. Joseph's.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with Pastor Tim Hall officiating.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in York.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral services at St. Joseph's ICF-MR, 58 Hemlock St., Swoyersville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Damon's memory to the St. Joseph's Foundation, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
