Born in Kingstree, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Sadie Hanna and husband to William Martin, Jr. Iris worked for Levi Straus and later worked for and retired as a hand cleaner from C.R. Bard. She was a member of Carnes Crossroads Church of God. Iris enjoyed working in the yard, visiting her neighbors on her golf cart, spending time at church, watching westerns and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of fifty five years, William Martin, Jr.; sons, Murphy Martin (Rebecca B. Middleton) of James Island and Brian Martin (Cheryl) of Moncks Corner; grandchildren, Wade, Brittany, Ashley, Chris, Eulie and Drew; brother, Charles Hanna (Lottie) of Pamplico. Iris is predeceased by her parents, brother, Al Hanna and sister, Betty Belue.
Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens.
