The graveside service for A. Jackson Walker of Seattle, Washington, a retired English professor at Georgia Tech, will be at 1 p.m. today at Westview Cemetery.
Dr. Walker, 84, died Sunday at Columbia Lutheran Home in Seattle of complications from Alzheimer's disease.
He taught at Georgia Tech from 1928 until retiring in 1971.
Andrew Jackson Walker was born Oct. 23, 1908, in Helena, Ark. He graduated from Emory University and received a Ph.D. from Harvard.
Dr. Walker belonged to Phi Beta Kappa and St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Atlanta.
Surviving are two daughters, Caroline Bynum and Dorothy Wilz; a sister, Dorothy Harden; and three grandchildren.
