Jewell C. Wells, 77, of Felton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11. She was born in Haralson County on Jan. 31, 1926, the daughter of the late Mr. Daniel Cheatwood and the late Mrs. Minnie Sanders Cheatwood. Mrs. Wells was retired from the Hubbard Company of Bremen. Survivors include: husband, John Wells, of Felton; three sons, Tommy Wells, of San Diego, Cal., David Wells, of Felton, and Larry Wells, of Cedartown; two sisters, Etha Belle Bentley, of Tallapoosa, and Kathleen Davis, of Huntsville, Ala.; brothers, Will Cheatwood of Buchanan and Mosey Cheatwood, also of Buchanan; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 13, at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were: Andy Kerr, Jeff Dingler, James Paxton, Brian Wells, Steve Wells, and Andy Lance. Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan was in charge of the arrangements.
