Glen Thomas Rhodes, Jr., 60, of 414 West Jule Peek Ave., Cedartown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003 in an out of town hospital. He was born April 10, 1943 and retired with the Cedartown Fire Department for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen T. Rhodes, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue Rhodes; daughters, Freda Kay Rhodes, Robyn Thompson; brothers, Wendell and Tommy Rhodes and four grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Rhodes were conducted Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Swift, Dr. James Guy and Rev. Sammy Stephens officiating. The interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers: Joshua Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, Matthew Pruitt, Chad Pinkard, Michael Payton, and Ricky Sorrells. Honorary Pallbearers: Cedartown Fire Department, Jacob Thompson and Dylan Satterfield. The Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown had charge of the arrangements.
