Obituary - Oscar Jones Hulet, 91, passed away June 20, 1990 at his home in Summit.
Born April 20, 1899 in Summit to Oscar W. and Susannah M. Jones Hulet. He lived almost all his life in Summit. He married Violet Walker May 19, 1921 in the St. George LDS Temple.
He was a school teacher and principle in the Iron County schools for 44 years. He was a farmer and rancher all his life and enjoyed horses and livestock. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Active member LDS Church, he enjoyed temple work, served as a bishop, high counselor, member of stake presidency, teacher, and in 1949 was ordained Parowan Stake Patriarch; he also has been Patriarch for the SUSC Stake.
Survived by wife, Summit; four children, Mrs. Leonard (Dorothy) Mickelson, Powell, Wyo.; Oscar Kent, Cedar City; Carlisle; and Mrs. Carl T. (Marjorie) Evans, both Summit; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brother, Rex J.; sister, Mrs. Bill (Arvilla) Adams, both Cedar City.
Funeral services Saturday, June 23, 1990, 11 a.m., Summit Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Southern Utah Mortuary Friday, 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 until time of services. Interment, Summit Cemetery.
