Jewell Francis Witt, 78, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at her residence.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
She served with the Navy in WWII and was an avid golfer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Regis F. Witt.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Mary Will of Richmond, Va.; and her son, David Witt of Chattanooga; sister, Pauline Stough of Huntington, W. Va.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, at 10 a.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Father Jim Vick officiating with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
