Harriston - The funeral of Nicholas Foerter, which was held this afternoon from the family residence in Minto, to the Lutheran Cemetery in Howick, was very largely attended. Deceased had only celebrated his 78th birthday three days before his death occurred. He was born in Germany, emigrated to Canada when only 13 years of age, and took up residence in the vicinity of Wellesley, from whence he removed to Howick, and then to his late residence in Minto, which he had occupied for 18 years. He leaves a family of fourteen, six of whom are at home, besides William at Stratford, Nicholas in Howick, John in Minto, Mrs. Zeigler (Elizabeth) and Mrs. Moos (Mary) at Clifford, Mrs, Heubach (Margaret) at Berlin, Mrs. Huth (Anna) at Lakelet and Mrs. C. Zeigler (Caroline) in Minto.
