Employed for many years as a manager at Zayre's Department Store on the Barre-Montpelier Road and as the manager of the Adamant Co-op and was the part-time postmaster at the local post office.
Member of several local organizations, including the VFW Post 792 Auxiliary, the American Legion Post 3 Auxiliary and the Montpelier Cribbage League.
Survived by her husband; her children; 2 sisters and a brother; 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and extended family members
Predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Donald Luce; and more recently, by her beloved great-grandson, Drew Bernier.
