Jack was born in Marshall, Texas on September 05, 1923 to Leonard Franklin Lloyd and Olive Rigsby Lloyd. Olive died when Jack was a baby. He was raised by the only mother he ever knew, Beatrice Ellis Lloyd, who married Leonard when Jack was two. He graduated from Marshall High School and married Huline Mills Lloyd on March 24, 1944. During the war he and Huline lived in Washington State where Jack worked in the Puget Sound Shipyards. After the war they returned to Texas and lived in Woodlawn until his death. In 1955 he bought the Dairy Queen in Jefferson where he worked until his retirement in 1985. Jack loved his family and friends and they dearly loved him. Jack is survived by his daughter, Diane (Mike) Shaw; son, Jackie (Charla) Lloyd; granddaughter, Lindsay Lloyd; grandsons, Chad (Janet) Shaw, Adam (Melissa) Shaw, Jared (Hannah) Shaw, Connor Lloyd (fiancé, Katie), and Brooks Lloyd; six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joshua, Emma, Dallan, Eva, and Julian; many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Lilly.
