BURLINGTON – Bobby Lewis Cobb, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his residence. A native of Alamance County, he was born April 23, 1933 to the late Raleigh Lewis and Ella Dean Caudle Cobb and was the husband of 38 years to Brenda Henderson Cobb of the home.

Bobby served in the US Marines and retired from BellSouth after 36 years of service. He was a member of Staley Memorial Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was a member of the Lakeview Civitan Club. He enjoyed playing golf, senior softball, hunting, woodworking and gardening. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of the home, daughters, Pamela Terry and husband David, Michele Cobb, Debbie Petty and husband Milt; son, Jeff Cobb and wife Bobbie; step-daughters, Angie Moore, Cindy Doak and fiancé Tony; grandchildren, Hanna Terry, Lindsay Peatross, Gavin Cobb, Laura Petty, Meredith Hughes; step-grandchildren, Scott, Corey and Amber Moore, Cody and Courtney Spencer, Bridgett and Brandon Thompson and six step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Cobb King.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bennie Smith and Rev. Rodney Staley with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
