Of Falls Church, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017. Edward served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a founding member of St. Philips Catholic Church in Falls Church. He is survived by his wife of 74 years; two children and their spouses; four grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Edward W. Bower. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St., Falls Church from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church, 7500 St. Philips Ct., Falls Church with interment to follow at Columbia Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edward's memory to St. Philip Catholic Church.
