Steve Forbes, 61, of Hattiesburg, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Foxworth Cemetery.
Mr. Forbes attended Maybank Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army. He worked at Lowe's Distribution Center in Purvis before retiring in 2015. He was a member of the Hattiesburg Moose Lodge 1804.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ford and Ida Mae Forbes.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Forbes of Hattiesburg; one daughter, Heather Rothery of Oregon; one step daughter, Heather (Keith) Lyons of Hattiesburg; one step son, Cody (Sara) Martin of Hattiesburg; two brothers, Gilbert Forbes and Benny (Ruth) Forbes, both of California; three sisters, Norma (Lester) Rucker of Arizona, Peggy (Albert) Walker and Vickie (Tom) Wise, both of Idaho; and four grandchildren, MariAlis Lyons, Max Lyons, Lillie Lyons and Alyssa Martin.
