Annie M. Dawson, 74 of Gary, IN, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus, in Gary. She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Dawson; two sons, Johnny (Dwendolyn) Dawson and Kevin (Silvia) Dawson; 17 grandchildren; a host of great and great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Johnnie Scott, Lula (Andy) Beverly, Maxine Wash and Georgette Scott; two brothers, George Box, Jr., and DeWayne (Renee) Box; and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by son, Terrance Tyler Dawson; and mother, Mattie Box. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Greater First Church International, 4862 Olcott, East Chicago. Officiating is Bishop Tavis Grant. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Gary. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Greater First Church International, from 9-11 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
