CLAXTON - Redetha Rose Glisson "Granny," 87, passed away March 26, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was a native of Evans County where she enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking meals for her family and friends. Her greatest joy was having her family and friends sitting at her table.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie "Ben" Glisson; daughter, Linda G. King; and son, Milton "Buck" Glisson.

Survivors: daughters, Amy Glisson, Lucy (Tommy) Walden; son Segal (Susan) Glisson; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed also by her sewing partner and friend, Ms. Hazel DeLoach.

Visitation: Monday, March 27, 2017 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. a J. Mellie NeSmith funeral home.

Funeral: Tuesday, March 28, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church.

Burial: Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
