MILLERSBURG -- Carolyn Hubbell Wheeler, 72, of Millersburg, died Sunday, March 26, 2017.

She was born June 14, 1944, in Chillicothe to Horace and Helen Hubbell, and in August 1966, married Roger Wheeler. He survives.
Carolyn was a teacher in the West Holmes School District, retiring in 2005, and was a member of Millersburg United Methodist Church, where she was active in the music program.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children, Ken (Amy) of Birmingham, Ala., David (Robin) of Centerburg, Ann (Steve) Elliott of Green and Tom (Katharyn) of Montclair, Va.; 10 grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jane Hubbell of Laurelville; a brother, Tim (Arnetta) of Chesterfield, S.C.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Alan.

Local memorial services will be Thursday, March 30 at 11:30 a.m. at Millersburg United Methodist Church, where calling hours will be Wednesday, March 29 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church.

Memorial services will also be held Saturday, April 1 at 2 p.m. at Adelphi United Methodist Church. Private family burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery in Adelphi, near where Carolyn grew up and where her brother, parents and grandparents are buried.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Millersburg Head Start, 224 N. Clay St., Millersburg 44654; or Doctors Without Borders; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
