LORETTA M. MEINZEN, 95, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, having reached her goal of out-living all other 12 siblings. She was the middle child of 13, with five sisters and one brother older than her, and five brothers and one sister younger than her. She graduated from Central Catholic High School, married, raised a family, was a Girl Scout leader, a devoted Catholic recently attending St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Churubusco, an avid bingo player, and blood donor of over 15 gallons. She is survived by children, Paula Volz, Edward J. (Roberta) Meinzen, Suzanne (Chuck) Rhen, and Monica Wolfe; grandchildren, Julie (Steve) Wells, Mark (Kelly) Volz, Charles (Jen) Volz, Jennifer (Paul) Mills, Michelle (Tim) Kindler, Bret Rhen, Tom (Holly) Volz, and Vern (Christine) Rhen; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Edward E. Meinzen; parents, Albert and Golda (Steward) Deininger; sons-in-law, Ron Volz and Jack Dial; and great-granddaughter, Riley Cotner-Volz. Honoring her wishes, her body has been donated to IU Anatomical Education Progam. Funeral Mass and burial will be at a later date.
